Poreč and its coasts are one of the most famous and most visited tourist areas on the Adriatic. The city of Poreč is one of the main tourist centers of Croatia, located on the west coast of Istria. The peninsula on which the old town core of Poreč is located was inhabited even 6,000 years ago. The old town itself is a unique cultural monument. The sacral complex of Euphrasiana with a basilica and bishopric from the 6th century stands out, among the most valuable Byzantine buildings in the world.
